Ride & Handling
The new Nissan Versa is a slow ride, especially on the highways. However, the ride quality and handling of this small ride were great for the class. The tidy handling offered a mostly comfortable ride. Its steering is relatively accurate but can feel numb at times and tends to shake over bumpy roads. But overall, the current release is better to drive than the previous generation model.
Fuel Economy
As per EPA’s website, the Versa gets about 32 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway when equipped with the continuously variable automatic transmission.
However, the gas mileage numbers drop for the base-level trim about 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway because it comes standard with manual transmission. In short, Versa with CVT is more fuel efficient. Interior Space
The interior of the new Versa is nice for such a low-budget car. Nissan offers good quality and uses nice materials throughout. There are soft-touch surfaces on doors and dashboard with the presence of hard plastics spread throughout the interior.
The cabin is relatively roomy and can seat up to five people. It’s easy to get in and out of the car. You can adjust the driver’s seat to your preferred driving position. There is plenty of legroom and headroom to stretch your legs.
The rear is also spacious and comfortable for two adults. However, taller people might feel their heads brush against the headliner. Some riders might find the second row a bit firm and they can benefit from the additional cushioning.
